Matt Theriault
CEO/Founding Principal

Matt Theriault, a fifth-generation California native, Desert Storm Veteran (US Marine Corps), has worked as a full-time real estate professional since 2003. After building a small real estate empire (200+ income units) with hardly using one dime of his own money or one point of his own credit, he discovered that he had a knack for simplifying the complicated, implementing systems and producing desirable results for both himself and his investor partners. His “knack” has manifested itself via consistently better-than-average market returns for both himself and his investor partners, a thriving online real estate investing academy (, as well as the #1 Real Estate Investing Podcast (Epic Real Estate Investing) on iTunes.

Matt oversees the Fund’s operations by monitoring market conditions and strategy performance maintaining disciplined flexibility in order to make modifications when and where necessary.

Matt steers the ship.

Doug Walz
Vice President of Operations

Doug Walz has over 30 years of experience in sales, operations, commercial/residential construction and residential development. Walz is a great asset for the Epic Wealth Fund as his knowledge and ability to manage operations and achieve long-term objectives contributes to the Fund’s growth and success.

His responsibility to the Fund is three-fold. First, he establishes and maintains structure and organization for the Fund’s operations. Second, he manages the successful execution of each of the Fund’s investment strategies. Third, he works closely with the CEO to develop, implement and optimize systems in the interest of achieving the Fund’s goals, both short-term and long.

Doug manages the ship.

Mercedes Torres
Acquisition Director/Co-Founding Principal

Mercedes Torres is an accomplished investor in her own right having fix and flipped 25+ properties in her first two years of investing. Her super-fast success caught the attention of the real estate investing community, as well as “Hollywood!” Mercedes appeared on the hit T.V. show, Flip That House, to demonstrate her skill for efficient and profitable “house flipping.”

Mercedes, a graduate of UCLA, brings a banking and finance background to the Epic Wealth Fund, but anyone that knows Mercedes recognizes her exceptional (and rare) skill of making friends, building rapport and creating win/win solutions for all parties involved. This inherent quality of hers lends itself as an “unfair advantage” to the Fund’s ability to acquire deeply discounted and undervalued assets driving profit margins upward.

Her business philosophy is simple, and effective. “Just be straight with people and make sure everybody gets what they were promised!”

Mercedes fuels the ship.
